Just Arrived

It’s been a while since I’ve received review books, but I’ve received a couple in the last few days.

The first is Keith A. Mathison’s From Age to Age: The Unfolding of Biblical Eschatology, and the second is T. Desmond Alexander’s From Eden to the New Jerusalem: An Introduction to Biblical Theology. Obviously both have captured my attention and I am an anxious to get to them. Mathison’s volume is quite hefty and will require a fair amount of time to finish, but Alexander’s is much slimmer and manageable. Should be good reading!

  1. They’ve captured mine too, esp. the second title. I’m not big on eschatology books these days, though the second title seems to have some in view but not purely so.

Too much eschatological speculations out there. 😉

  2. TC: Yes, I saw Alexander’s book a while back and wanted to check it out. As far Mathison’s book, my initial impression is that it’s actually not focused on eschatology per se, as in a book-length address of the various millennial interpretations; rather, it seems to be a biblical theology of eschatology.
