It was a good day here at our house. We had a joint birthday party for my twin sons (who will be 1 next Thursday!) and my nephew, who turned 2 today! We had planned on having the party at the local park, but it had rained constantly the night before. So we partied at our house! The sky was overcast all day, but the temp was lovely–I hope fall is here to stay! It was mostly family and a few friends, delicious birthday cake (strawberry!), and lots of clothes for the boys! There were 13 kids there at one point, so that was a lot of fun (lots of boundary enforcement!), and it was good for the kids to play with their cousins.
On the sports front, all my teams won today–Florida, Texas, and Arkansas–except for my alma mater, who is having a terrible year! No Saints game tomorrow, but a big game the next week vs. the NY Giants. So, Nick, predictions? 😉
Tomorrow I will be preaching from 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 (couldn’t help but think of TC!) in the morning service and Hebrews 2:14-18 in the evening service. Also, my niece trusted Christ for salvation this past week and will be baptized tomorrow!
