I hope that…

…my copy of Putting Jesus in His Place: The Case for the Deity of Christ arrives in decent condition, given that it’s being shipped from Amazon’s Lexington, KY, warehouse. Last time I was fortunate–let’s hope this time around the packing is better or that nothing happens to the book!

  1. The last two books that I ordered from Amazon came in a padded envelope. Before this, all of the books that I ordered from them came wrapped together in plastic and were shipped in a box filled with air bags. I wonder if they recently decided to cut costs on shipping materials.

  2. Ed: Most everything I order from Amazon comes packed with air bags, but the last time (Hurtado’s Lord Jesus Christ) there was nothing but the book! Fortunately, the book was unharmed. So, we’ll see!

    Nick: Let’s hope not!

  3. Jason: Hope all you want… if it’s coming from Lexington, KY it’s going to be damaged. I wish I could say I was more optimistic but literally every package I’ve ever received from that warehouse has contained damaged material. It’s like they kick the books into the boxes or something.

  4. Nick: Somehow, my last shipment from there arrived unharmed, despite there being no packing materials whatsoever in the box. I guess Huratado’s works receive special grace in shipping! 😉
